THE GAMIFICATION OF IDEATION
IDEALYST is an online, asynchronous brainstorming game. Participants earn points by contributing ideas and
building on each others’ ideas, as they work together to answer questions posed by the moderator. At the end
of the session, participants redeem points for incentives—which could include cash or other perks and benefits.
IDEALYST is both collaborative and competitive. Some participants earn more points than others, but everyone
benefits by playing the game. The more the group participates, the more points individuals can earn.
IDEALYST’s game format and point-based incentive system is proven to produce better ideas and more of them.
A game may generate well over 1,000 comments as each participant’s posts inspire others to refine ideas, debate
alternatives, and mine new veins of thinking. Following an IDEALYST game, your team will have a rich database
for whatever comes next.
