Carmel Dibner
Principal
Carmel Dibner is a principal in the Insights for Innovation practice at Applied Marketing Science (AMS), where she is responsible for client relationship management, client services delivery, and business development, with expertise in consumer products and services.
Carmel’s career spans both market research and brand management. She has served clients in a variety of fields including consumer durables, consumer packaged goods, medical devices, financial institutions, and academic institutions.
Carmel was first with Applied Marketing Science from 2007-2010, and rejoined the firm in 2014. In addition to her consulting experience with AMS, Carmel has worked in Consumer Insights at Newell Rubbermaid, a company that produces tools, commercial products, writing instruments, baby and parenting gear, and home solutions. Most recently, Carmel worked in Brand Management for Unilever, one of the largest global consumer product goods (CPG) companies, on both the Dove® brand and on their multi-cultural business.
While at Unilever, Carmel was involved in all aspects of marketing and brand building, including launching new products, developing and implementing marketing campaigns, and managing brand forecasts and budgets. She led cross-functional teams and inter-agency teams and helped launch Dove® Advanced Hair Series—a new, more premium tier of hair care products for the brand.
Outside of work, Carmel loves taking road trips, discovering great restaurants, and spending time with family and friends.
Carmel holds an M.B.A. in Marketing and Management from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania where she was named a Palmer Scholar, and a B.A. in Psychology and Sociology with a concentration in Business & Organizations, magna cum laude, from Cornell University.
