Ryan Goebel

Senior Analyst

Ryan Goebel is a senior analyst in the Insights for Innovation practice at Applied Marketing Science. In this role, Ryan supports clients by providing insightful and data-driven recommendations based on quantitative and qualitative research findings through interviews, fielding online surveys, analyzing data, and writing and delivering report. 

Ryan has over five years of market research experience including fielding project manager and quantitative researcher roles within the consumer-packaged goods and the durable goods space. As a fielding project manager, he learned the importance of vetting respondents to ensure they not only fit the desired profile but were also the best possible respondent for his client. As a quantitative researcher, Ryan honed his research skills through managing and conducting fully customized quantitative research projects involving consumer segmentation, MaxDiff and TURF analysis, conjoint analysis, Gabor-Granger, and more. 

Ryan gained his passion for research while studying marketing at Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota where he conducted a full market research study for a local business with the results being used to refocus the business’s marketing and outreach efforts.    

Outside of work, Ryan enjoys discovering new restaurants in the Chicago area with his wife Annie, taking pictures of his miniature dachshund, Odie, training and competing in Brazilian jiu jitsu, and supporting his favorite soccer and hockey teams.
