Taylor Owen is a senior analyst for the Insights for Innovation practice at Applied Marketing Science (AMS).
As a senior analyst, Taylor supports the team in developing qualitative and quantitative studies, interviewing, fielding, analyzing data, creating data-driven recommendations, and writing reports and presentations.
Taylor received his bachelor’s degree in marketing from Louisiana Tech University, which is where his interest in research began. After graduation, Taylor obtained his master’s degree in market research from Michigan State University. During his time at MSU, Taylor worked on several client engagements in the consumer, education, and manufacturing industries. He and his teams answered key business questions for clients about brand awareness and product usage.
Prior to joining AMS, Taylor was a part of the consumer insights team at SharkNinja. He supported both qualitative and quantitative initiatives including focus groups, survey development, and one-on-one interviews. He helped develop mission-critical reports under tight timelines to help SharkNinja stay on top of consumer demands in real time for their home appliance products.
When he’s not at work, Taylor usually enjoys cooking dishes from his home state of Louisiana, such as gumbo, shrimp and grits, and etouffee. Most recently, he’s started exploring the New England area with his dog, Charlie, catching a game at TD Garden, or watching a movie at the Coolidge Corner Theatre.
