Raquel Mendizábal Martell, Ph.D.

Manager

Raquel Mendizábal Martell is a manager for the Litigation Support practice at Applied Marketing Science.

In her role at AMS, Raquel is involved with all aspects of litigation projects, including exploratory research, survey design, survey fielding, data analysis, and report development. She has worked for the Litigation Support practice on cases related to trademark infringement, secondary meaning, genericism, patent infringement, deceptive advertising, and class certification.

Prior to joining AMS, Raquel worked as a research data analyst for the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where she helped implement assessment projects to analyze usage data, client satisfaction, and learning outcomes to track progress and success of mental health services. During her graduate school work, Raquel discovered her love for survey methodology, data and statistics, research, and diversity/inclusion work.

Raquel grew up in San Salvador, El Salvador and loves living in Massachusetts, especially being close to the ocean and to mountains. In her spare time, she enjoys exploring different cities and towns, trying out new restaurants, reading and joining book clubs, and spending time with her family and her dog, Glen.

Raquel holds a B.A. in psychology from Hope College and an M.A. and Ph.D. in Applied Psychology from Southern Illinois University – Carbondale.
